Brief Description of Mandate/Functions with respect to Geoscientific Activities:
Conduct studies related to nuclear fuel cycle, particularly nuclear mineral resource and other geoscientific studies related to nuclear power plant siting including radioactive waste siting.

Ongoing Projects/Research Activities:

1. Survey for nuclear and other industrial minerals.
2. Siting studies.
3. Hydrogeochemical process studies/environmental surveillance.
