Brief Description of Mandate/Functions with respect to Geoscientific Activities:
The Geology and Geotechnics Department administers total function and control of all investigations and geo-engineering studies relative to geological, geophysical, geotechnical, seismological and geo-instrumentation monitoring networks necessary in the planning, design, construction and safe operation of power development projects and other major or critical engineering structures.
